The buyer can choose which charity funds go to if they like!
90 percent of sales will go to the charity.. I'll be starting at a very low price, it's an auction type set up ..so not sure how much we'll make but it will be hopefully something substantial and it will raise awareness too..it will be online, with collection points for art in Ennis, Co. Clare, I will confirm place ASAP,  or it may be posted if possible, the buyer will cover cost of packaging and posting..
please like, comment, share or purchase to help the success of this fundraiser..

These are the charities, they have a long track record on the ground in Palestine:
the Palestinian Children Relief Fund, who support the only paediatric oncology/children’s cancer treatment ward in Gaza (a recent target of the occupation forces), Medical Aid Palestine who have worked for decades providing community healthcare in Palestine, or the Palestinian Red Crescent’s ambulance crews, who continue to respond, with courage & care, despite the targeting & killing of Palestinian paramedics, these organisations, and others, know the urgent needs of their communities better than anyone- and need our practical support.

This runs till December 22nd and may resume with new sale in the New Year.

Recollect Wonder

  • Mill Water Wheel, Mill Rd, Cloughleigh, Ennis Clare (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Recollect Wonder’ is a live audio-visual event with a participatory component in which attendees are invited to sing with the artists as part of the performance.  The video installation will be looped & song will be performed at the start & at the end of the event.

This installation will pay homage to our ancestors & to how far we’ve come to get us to this point.  Inspired as part of an interdisciplinary research project by Caitríona Sheedy & anchored by early studies (2011) at this mill water wheel which had been in operation for millennia  & once powered the cornmarket mills.  And is the site at which 3 people were shot down during a protest, demanding corn during the famine, this was being exported from Ireland at the time.  ‘Recollect Wonder’ acknowledges our past & how it is shaping our present, through our emotional lineage & learnt behaviour.  Paying attention to how we direct change as part of this ever changing reality.  Has our history created sufficient inertia in the direction of what we don’t want. Or can we draw from the immense wisdom of the ecosystems of which we are and in which we exist. In which we strive to create homeostasis & thriving individuals & communities.   It is a call to take stock, realise the gifts of individuality, diversity & community.  Remembering our humanity, the constancy of evolution & our part in guiding it.

The singing will be facilitated by Caitríona Sheedy & Giselle Harvey.

All ages & cultures welcome.

'The Universe is Mental' getting to the heart of it

The Universe is Mental (getting to the heart of it) a mixed media sensory exhibition exploring consciousness and the human condition.

Recognising inner conflict as a starting point.  Interpreting ways to move through that.  It’s about further exploring the power structures in place and this time acknowledging the impacts on me personally.  Looking at the laws of the universe and challenging myself to expand.

Listening [with the heart]

An Exhibition about nature and the celebration of its rhythms.

Called ‘listening’ due to our inextricable link to nature and our ability to communicate with it.  In quieting our minds, grounding and listening with an open heart.

Nature is all sustaining it provides us with food, shelter, heat and also healing, it can soothe our spirit and calm our soul.  Supporting us in clearing and channeling.

It includes the Celestial cycles series which is inspired by the knowledge of our ancient ancestors, the building of passage tombs to illuminate on the solstices and equinoxes.  The most well known Newgrange, Co. Meath, (built around 3500 BC) where on the winter solstice (shortest day of the year), the sun illuminates the passage tomb on these mornings.

Intrigued by almost forgotten ancient knowledge, our ancestors understanding of the cosmos.  This work embodies my early attunement to nature and the celebration of its rhythms.”

Presence (full exhibition) - Launch - Culture Night 2014

Friday 10 - 4.30 and Saturday 12 - 4.30.  [Launch 4 o’clock Friday 19th September, Culture Night 2014].  Pre’sence, Parnell St, Ennis, Co. Clare.

“Pre’sence” – an art exhibition and exploration of the energy of spirit and the transcending of blocked emotion through acknowledgement and creativity. Using painting, drawing, and mixed media as a medium to explore us as energy beings.

We cannot step into our true power if we do not recognize our obstacles.  We cannot realize our true potential if we are overcome by our weaknesses.

Using physical places and personal experiences as a gateway to going deeper with feelings and transcending blocked energy.

Acknowledging how the structures within our societies have a huge impact on us gives us the power to build our own energy structures, which allows our energy to flow, making our experience and contribution in life richer and more vital.

Flowing Caitriona Sheedy

Presence – Being – Flowing

The sparks for this creation began with the desire to let go, trust and align with the flow of universal energy.

The inspiration, to explore the strength in creating and holding healthy space. For ourselves and for others.  Artist Caitriona Sheedy’s vision was to create a space, a sanctuary within, allowing the universal healing energy to flow through you and with each breath you take. Here a yurt has been transformed inside and out.  The energy of trees and water became the guides for this work.  When we strengthen ourselves, we strengthen communities.  We become present and clear.  Never underestimate the power of self-love and care.

See Pre'sence - the full exhibition for more about the larger body of work “Pre’sence”.
